    Monday Blackberry Blues- Conference Call!

Making conference calls on the Blackberry is very simple. You can initiate a conference call on the BlackBerry device by doing the following:

To initiate call conferencing, perform the following steps:

      Holding a Conference Call

    1. Step1

You, as Person A, will be the conversation initiator. Decide who you want to call first in the conference - this person is Person B. The particular calling order is irrelevant; however, if this is a business call, the client (Person C) should be called last so that she will not have to wait on hold.

    2. Step2

Once Person B is on the line, you should tell him that he will need to wait on Hold for 30 seconds to one minute (this process does not take long) while you connect the third party.

    3. Step3

You will need to take the phone away from your ear for this step. Locate the Menu button (to the left of the Trackball) and press it so that its options appear on the screen. The phone call is still continuing in the background. Scroll down until "View Address Book" is highlighted in blue. Press the Trackball in to select this button.

    4. Step4

Scroll through your address book until you find Person C. Once her name is highlighted in blue, press the green Talk button (to the left of the Menu button on the keyboard). This will start a separate call with Person C; Person B is still on hold.

    5. Step5

Wait for Person C to answer her phone, and then tell her to wait for one moment.

    6. Step6

Relocate the Menu button and press it one more time. Now, scroll over the option "Join" until it is highlighted in blue. Select it by pressing in the Trackball. All three calls should now be connected.
